Who We Are

I'm Juan Sotoparra, a design professional with a deep passion for creating thoughtful, human-centred spaces. Originally from Venezuela, I’ve called Ireland home for 23 years. In 2007, I founded my own design practice, and since then, I’ve worked on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects locally and internationally.

With over two decades of experience in Ireland and an additional five years in Venezuela and Italy, I’ve led projects from concept to completion. My approach is rooted in sustainability, the harmony between people, nature, and the built environment, and a practical understanding of construction dynamics.

My international experience across both developed and emerging economies has shaped a critical view of technology, a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset, and a commitment to simplicity—without ever losing sight of beauty, experimentation, or the deeper purpose behind the work. I’m equally comfortable working solo or as part of a team, whether in the studio or on site.

As an artist, I approach design as an existential endeavour. I draw from a deep well of knowledge in both traditional and digital techniques to express and communicate ideas clearly and creatively to clients and collaborators.
